Getting Started

1st... Email or call for a free 30 minute consultation to determine if we are the practice to meet your needs.  Your child's care is the greatest priority; if there is a challenge I don't treat then I will refer you to a trusted someone who does.

2nd... Complete all intake paperwork.  This will includes developmental history, HIPAA, consent, release forms to collaborate with other team members, practice policies, and insurance verification (so that there are no surprises).

3rd... If utilizing tele-therapy we will have an initial tele-therapy session Meet & Greet!  We'll spend 15-20 minutes so that your child is familiar with me and the process of tele-therapy, and so that I can get to know your family as well.

4th...  Meet for our first skilled session!  This will begin the process of developing your treatment plan.

5th... Begin meeting at our routine time and spark the growth!

If you have had a prior evaluation completed within the past year, then our first session will be an initial consultation that includes the following: informal assessment, review of prior reports, and clinical interview with parents.

- If more than a year has passed since your most recent Speech and Language Evaluation, then we will need to administer one in order to document current status and develop an appropriate treatment plan.

- The treatment plan will consist of long-term goals and short-term objectives that include the most relevant approaches and current thinking in the field of speech-language pathology.  Goals are monitored on an ongoing basis  and progress reports are provided as needed for insurance or every 3-6 months.
